Bolek Besser Glesius is proud to announce that Ohio Super Lawyers Magazine has named Matthew D. Besser to its 2025 list of the top 100 attorneys in Ohio. Besser’s practice focuses on employment discrimination representing individuals, as well as civil rights and mediation. Super Lawyers once again also named both Cathleen M. Bolek and Amy S. Glesius as Ohio Super Lawyers in the field of employment law representing individuals.
This is the 11th year in a row that all three Bolek Besser Glesius partners have received this peer-review attorney honor, reflecting the Firm’s continued reputation among Ohio lawyers for professional excellence and integrity.
Super Lawyers’ Ohio top attorneys list is based on a rigorous, peer-reviewed selection process
Super Lawyers is one of the most well-known and widely respected ratings services for attorneys. Selection to its annual Ohio top attorneys list is the result of a rigorous and multi-step process. That process includes third-party nominations, evaluation by a blue-ribbon panel of peers in the legal community, and independent vetting and research by Super Lawyers Magazine. The publication evaluates lawyers using 12 separate criteria representing a lawyer’s reputation and professional skills. Among them are verdicts and settlements, experience, honors and awards, scholarly lectures and writings, and other professional experience.
According to Super Lawyers, its goal is to produce a credible list of “outstanding attorneys” for the public to use when choosing a lawyer. Ultimately, Ohio Super Lawyers names no more than 5% of attorneys in Ohio to any of its practice-area lists. It is from that elite few that the magazine then identifies its list of the Top 100 lawyers in Ohio.
Matthew D. Besser’s selection to this year’s Ohio Top 100 attorneys list is a testament to his skill, experience, and reputation. In addition to his work as an Ohio mediator and employment discrimination and harassment lawyer, Besser is also a leader in the legal community. He is currently serving as President of the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association, one of the oldest and largest bar associations in Ohio.
